RAMONA COSBY Obituary
April 18, 1962 - Nov 26, 2014 OKLAHOMA CITY Ramona, 52, passed from this life to eternity Nov. 26, 2014. She was born April 18, 1962, to Jimmie & Avis Cosby. After graduating Moore HS in 1980, she attended Hillsdale College. Her first focus of time and energy was being a wonderful mother to her daughters, Rachel and Krista. "Mona" served as an executive assistant at Massman Construction in Kansas City for many years. Mona later pursued the completion of a degree in art history at the University of Kansas and was an active student as well as a paraprofessional at Blue Valley Schools in Overland Park, KS, where she resided. Mona had a passion for helping others, including service as a foster mother and working with students with special needs in public schools. She shared her love with her family and friends and inspired many through her exceptional artistic, musical, and creative writing abilities. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a devoted daughter, and a fantastic sister. She leaves behind her family and friends who are better for being touched by her loving spirit, including her daughter, Rachel Kay Martin & husband Adam, of Dallas; daughter, Krista Beth Kobe & husband Joel, of Seattle; parents, Jimmie M. & Avis Cosby, of Oklahoma City; sister, Kathy Scherler & husband David, of Irving; brother, Mark Cosby & wife Jimmie Marie, of Overland Park; grandchildren, Edmund Samuel and Henri Odile Martin; nephews and nieces, Kent and Kale Scherler; Kelly and Clay Cosby; great- niece and nephew, Anna-Claire and David Kent Scherler, IV; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, at the South Lakes Chapel.
